Dust off those photographs, slides and negatives to make a photo slide show or photo montage on DVD or VHS at Quality Audio and Video. Such memory videos are great for:

Typically 100 pictures will create a 16.5 minute video. We work with photographs, slides, digital camera memory chips, images on a CD or DVD, and pictures in books. Also bring or send in your favorite music on records CD's or cassette tapes.

Drop-off

Our Drop-off service creates a stunning, professional-quality DVD presentation of your photographs and music. The "drop-off" also means "mail-in" if you aren't in the Louisville, Kentucky area. The service includes:

• A conference with us to review your material and goals.
• The digital transfer of your photos and slides to video.
• One DVD in a Quality Audio and Video jewel case
• Your photos come alive as they move across the screen.
• Dissolve from one photo to the next, give a soft effect.
• The video length is timed at 6 photos per minute including transitions
• Songs are faded to fit
• JPEG copies of each of your photos

Our quality DVD's play your montage with great clarity. All Drop-off photo montages are created using our computer editing software and equipment. Typical turnaround is one week.

Standard drop-off photo montage package - $ 75.00

Our "Standard" package is a good starting point when pricing your video slide show. It is all inclusive for a 16.5 minute presentation. However, any of its elements can be increased or decreased. If you opt for the Standard Package your show will consist of:

• 100 photos making a 16.5 minute video
• Up to 6 songs, provided to us from your CD, tapes or records, synchronized to fit your montage.
• Fading transitions between all pictures
• 1 title at the beginning of your montage
• 1 title at the end ofyour montage
• 1 DVD of the completed presentation
• 1 custom library case of your choice including the title and background scenery.

With Our Designers Photo Slide Show Creation

Do you have some specific ideas that you want to see in your video slide show -- special touches that will dazzle your audience? Do you want to see how it is all done? Are you worried that some of your material might not work? If so, you should book an appointment to design your show with one of our experienced editors. Customers who have worked with editors have enhanced their video by:

• adding titles identifying the people shown
• adding sports and action wipes
• adding narration
• inserting video and audio clips with pictures
• creating slow motion and sepia effects on selected clips
• more . . .

Call ahead and reserve an edit station with an operator. The rate is based on the time that you occupy the station and operator.

Slide and Photograph Archives

When you create a video slide show with us, JPEG digital copies of your photographs and slides are included at no additional cost. If, however, you only want the scanned JPEG images of your photographs and slides on disc, the prices below apply.

Consultation, setup and supplies $ 15 per job

Loose Photos up to 4x6" $ 0.15 each

Standard size 35mm slides $ 0.25 each

Other photos, slides and negatives $ .50 each

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ's)

How long is a video of photos?

6 photos plus transitions equal one minute of video.

 

How many photos can be transferred onto a videotape?

As many as 1000 photos will fit onto a standard length, two hour long DVD or videotape.

 

How long are the photos displayed on the TV screen?

We have found that 7 seconds each is the optimum viewing time.

 

Do I get my original photos back?

Yes, the original photos are returned to you after the transfer process.

 

May titles be inserted between photos?

Titles are $5 each and may be inserted anywhere in the montage.

 

What if I want to add titles at the bottom of each picture?

Names or descriptions up to 4 words each at the bottom of photos are $3 each.

 

How do I prepare my photos?

Number the photos in the back corner in the order you want them to be shown.

 

How do I prepare my music?

Bring in CDs and write down which CD, track number and song in order for the video.

 

If I don’t have music, what kind of soft background music is used?

We use piano or orchestral music without vocals that is nostalgic and sentimental.

 

How much is it if I want a set of photos to fit the exact length of a song?

No extra charge.

 

How much it is if I want a set of photos to transition to the beat of the music?

For that set of photos, add $ 1 for each photo.

 

Why should I order extra copies?

Extra copies are much less expensive than the original and are great to share as gifts.

 

What is the quality of the photos to video transfer?

We use professional video equipment that is among the latest in digital video technology.

 

How does one photo transition to another?

The photos are all digitally processed and arranged so that as the first photo fades out, the next photo is smoothly dissolving in.

 

How long does it take to process my order?

Typical processing of your order takes about 1 week from the time that we receive it. During the holiday and graduation rush times, this timing may extend out to 2 weeks based on order backlog.
